Born
in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Dj Speedy Jr. found his love for
music at the age of 15. Following the footsteps of his father
the original Speedy, Dj Speedy Jr. continues to dj in the Tampa
Bay area. He started by playing at family gatherings, where
he began to learn the art of keeping a party moving and a crowd
dancing. He never imagined that starting at such humble beginnings
would lead to start a dj career for him. Soon after the family
gatherings became bigger and bigger he would do bigger parties,
and public parties that soon he, along with his father, started
a mobile dj business called Speedy Sounds. Dj Speedy Jr.’s
first nightclub gig was a little club known in Tampa as Coco’s
and ever since, he has performed at some of the hottest clubs
that have opened in Tampa Bay Area like: Club Borinquen, Patricks
Beach Club, Casablanca, La Cueva, Hyde Park Café, Turbulence,
Capricornio, Club Atlanta, Club XS, Borderline, La Esquina Sabrosa,
Mirage (Moets) among others. Dj Speedy Jr. helped start the
first FM Spanish station in Tampa; El Rayo 106.1 FM and on that
station, he featured the first latin music weekend mix show in town. He
also volunteers his time on WMNF 88.5 FM (community radio) to
assist his dad with his show, “The Latin Jazz and Salsa
Show” going on 10 years strong. He was a radio announcer
on Rumba 680 AM for 2 years and had 3 mix shows on that station,
“La Cura de las 12”, “La Cura de las 5”
and Friday and Saturday nights “Rumba Club Mix”.
He also hosted a locally produced Latin music video show
called “Ritmo Latino TV” from 2001 until 2003. No music style is out of his range, he mixes everything from;
Salsa, Merengue, Reggeatón, Hip Hop, Bachata, International,
Freestyle and House, but is recognized and well known as one
of the best Reggaetón DJ's in Florida, and for his Salsa
sets. He has been nominated for numerous awards, Latin Urban

Best Underground Latin DJ. He regularly tours nightclubs in
